RE: Never Say Die - Quentin North - 11-27-2020 "Then I will see you both tomorrow." He says nodding to them both. He didn't belittle Claire's independence by asking if she required an escort back to her inn. Though he did opt not to use the hansom, which was waiting for the moment, for whomever wanted it. The next morning would find him back at the Sailor's Respite right on time to wait for his two companions. RE: Never Say Die - Gareth Scott - 11-27-2020 "Good night," said Gareth, and he left as well. He needed to go home and try not to fantasize about the bigger man. Easier said than done... Just kidding. Quentin wasn't his type. He returned the next morning, fresh and feeling a lot better. "Good morning, sir," he greeted. RE: Never Say Die - Claire North - 11-29-2020 She left as well, got a good night of sleep, and dreamed as she would. When she returned to the designated place, she approached the others and nodded quietly. She was dressed as a man again, her long hair pulled back into a bun at her nape, and a messenger bag slung over her shoulder. RE: Never Say Die - Quentin North - 11-29-2020 "Good morning Mister Scott." He greets the younger man with a grin before turning it onto Claire. "And good morning to you Miss Devereaux." More formal than he usually went but he was still grinning. "Well, are we ready to head out to the abbey then? I anticipate a full day of walking." Whitby wasn't so large that they couldn't get away with completing this leg of the treasure hunt on foot. RE: Never Say Die - Gareth Scott - 11-30-2020 "Good morning, Miss Devereaux," he greeted. "Off we go then." Gareth said, and he began to walk in the direction of the Abbey. He could find that, but he wondered where else the journey was going to take them today. A long day of walking sounded like a real treat! Not. But one had to bring sacrifices for a good article. RE: Never Say Die - Claire North - 12-01-2020 "Lord North, Mister Scott..." She nodded to both, looking from one to the next and choosing to use their formal names for the same reason they both used hers. RE: Never Say Die - Quentin North - 12-01-2020 Quentin follows after the evidently quite eager Gareth as they head out towards the outskirts of town where the abbey is located. "I hope you both have a pleasant evening's sleep. We will likely have quite the day ahead of us." He had no idea how man map fragments there were so they were essentially going out blind. RE: Never Say Die - Gareth Scott - 12-01-2020 "At least the weather is fine." Gareth said as they started the long ascent up to the Abbey, hoping he hadn't just jinxed it. And at least we're traveling on foot and not by carriage, the reporter thought to himself. RE: Never Say Die - Claire North - 12-02-2020 "I slept well, thank you," she fibbed, but kept it cheery. She glanced over toward Gareth and nodded in agreement at the state of the weather. Hopefully it would stay that way, she thought along side him. In the meantime, she clasped her hands behind her back and walked at whatever pace was set, keeping quiet for the moment because there wasn't much to say. There was much to think about, however, like the fascinating process of looking maps over and such. RE: Never Say Die - Quentin North - 12-02-2020 The walk proves to be quite pleasant, as Gareth had said the weather was on their side. They come to the abbey and he grins over at the two. "Well, let's see who can find it first. I trust you both remember the clue from yesterday." He says a slightly mischievous smirk forming at the corner of his lips. |
