"What? Praying? Yes... for now." Was his praying so offensive to the man?

"'Praying'. Sure," Anthony nodded slowly to show just how unamused he was, but didn't say anything more of it. He didn't want this to become the new conversation topic.

Gabriel frowned. This was weird. "Why yes. As a priest, I pray occasionally," he said, rather offended and taking the rosary out of his pocket. "Is that so strange?"

Wait, was the guy actually praying...? Anthony didn't like the idea of his distaste for this guy being unjustified, so he chose to believe that he wasn't. "Yeah, I'm sure you 'pray' occassionally."

Gabriel chose not to respond to this guy's weird reaction and just sat back. He hoped the tide would go out soon.

"Right. Go back to your 'praying', then," Anthony shrugged. He would much rather he not do that, actually, but saying that was not an option. Ugh. He felt kind of sick.

Gabriel, with the beads still out, began praying again, silently praying for this guy to stop being a prick.

Anthony put his fingers in his mouth and retched, just to show the guy how disgusted he was.

Gabriel was really annoyed, but he stubbornly continued to pray, now praying for patience, because he really felt like punching this guy - and he wasn't even a violent man.

Anthony looked Gabriel straight in the eye and continued doing those vomiting motions and sounds, mostly just because he wanted to annoy him.
