"No family at all," Anthony nodded, as if to confirm it. Well, no family that he knew of, at least. "it's not that bad, really. A bit lonely sometimes, I guess, but it's good."

Tobias nodded. "Hope you have other people in your life who are important..."

"Of course. It's good to have friends, gets a bit lonely without any." He didn't have friends, but he wasn't going to admit that.

Tobias nodded. He actually didn't have a lot of friends. The community was small and his farm rather isolated. People he had known had grown up and were busy with their own farms and families or had moved away.

"Hope that you've got some good friends, too. Wouldn't want such a nice man like you feeling lonely." Anthony was completely oblivious as to how that probably sounded.

Oooookay, this was making him very uncomfortable. Time to down that drink and go. "Thanks..." he muttered. He took his drink and took a rather large gulp. ... and started coughing.

Anthony recoiled a bit and took his hand off his shoulder. "Are you okay?" he frowned.

Tobias coughed in his elbow a few more times and pounded his chest. "Aye..." Well at least the other man had moved away a little. "Just choked on some beer..."

"Oh. Well, I'm glad you're okay, then," Anthony said, patted his shoulder a bit and moved closer again, but he didn't keep his hands on him. "wouldn't do you well to die from choking on some beer, yeah?" he laughed.

"No..." said Tobias, noticing how the man moved closer again. He drank again, but slower this time.
