She genuinely hoped to see him again soon. It surprised her to know that she was looking forward to that day. As he and his son were leaving, however, reality came crashing down again and brought her back to earth when one of the children started to cry, then the other, which meant she had to nurse or change nappies. Oh well, she thought, it was nice while it lasted to float away on a cloud around Fred. Once the two left, she turned to take care of the needs of the infants.
